the rat race

This work was inspired by the hustle and bustle of the city where people are always very busy and rushed. As a teenager I enjoyed watching people in the heart of the city after skateboarding with my friends. We would sit somewhere where we could observe the rushed people and would create imaginative personas and stories for them. This is the first of a series of two paintings.
